The B7 Rear Shock Drop Kit massively lowers the cars centre of gravity by dropping the rear shocks 6mm, whilst keeping suspension stiffness and progression, droop and uptravel identical. The dropper is designed to replicate the centre wishbone shock location, which we usually use on carpet. This is something we've recently tried and found to be highly beneficial on high traction carpet tracks. Tommy used these in prototype form to take the win at MKGP!
Notes
It is advised to space the rear shock tower forward 4mm when fitting these parts, in order to maintain a more vertical shock angle when looking from the side of the car. You can do this with spacers or use the our "B7 4mm rear tower spacer".
Attach the dropper as shown in the images above with the M3x8 bolt and grub screw. fasten the bottom of your shock to the dropper using the M3x20 csk screw. space it away from the dropper far enough so that the two don't make contact.
The kit is designed to work with both traditional and inverted rear shocks, but will require different mounting methods and spacers on the dropper for each. Images show USD shocks.
